TROY, MICH. (June 15, 12:15 p.m. ET) -- This year’s SPE Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition will include a parts competition open to any automaker in the world.
One winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced during closing ceremonies on the last day of the show, which is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at the MSU Management Education Center.
“We’ve seen our large-parts display area grow considerably over the past few years,” said Creig Bowland, senior research associate at PPG Industries, and the conference chairman, in a news release. “This year, it just seemed to make sense to capture some additional detail on all those parts that were at the show and provide some recognition for the innovation we were seeing – especially since our theme this year is Unleashing the Power of Design.”
Materials suppliers, molders, or OEMs can nominate a part, as long as the OEM gives permission. Parts may be on passenger cars or light trucks, original equipment or aftermarket, as long as they are already in commercial series production or will be in production by Nov. 1. | |
